Welded steel I-beams with web heights from 200 to 1,500 mm and flange widths from 200 to 800 mm, designed for load-bearing structures of buildings and facilities under static loads, for climatic regions with a design temperature not lower than −40 °C, made of C235/345 steel grades in accordance with GOST 23118-99.
Columns and beams made from welded I-beams make it possible to erect single-span and multi-span industrial buildings of various heights, including those with overhead cranes of up to 100 tons lifting capacity.
Using welded beams of variable cross-section (with non-parallel flanges) helps reduce the material intensity of steel structures by creating profiles that are efficient in terms of both load-bearing capacity and cost.
Depending on the type and nature of the applied loads, their purpose, and load-bearing capacity, I-beams are classified as:
- B — standard;
- Sh — wide-flange;
- K — column;
- U — heavy-duty;
- D — supplementary series.
Beams are manufactured in accordance with ST AO 010540003201-03-2016 on a dedicated production line through high-precision positioning of blanks and assembly of the I-section, automatic submerged arc welding with copper-coated welding wire of various diameters, and correction of the I-beam geometry (straightening of flange “mushrooming”).
Strips for welded beams are cut from steel plate on a thermal cutting machine controlled by an industrial computer.
